F.U.D. Factor

F.U.D. means "Fear", "Uncertainty" and "Doubt"

There is a lot of this going on in the world and in America today. People are becoming whipped up with various emotions and fear about our political future and our freedoms. Especially anxious are people of faith who wonder (fearfully) if they will be able to continue to freely practice their faith. The question is "…how can I practice my faith if the government forbids it or restricts it?"

Well, be of good cheer! This situation has already been faced; an answer of peace is available for all to see.
American is declining into slavery as the people give over more and more of their rights to the government. This process started long ago. A case could be made that we have sold ourselves and our progeny into slavery for the foreseeable future – just take a look at the national debt!

This decent into slavery will be experienced in categories of life – it won't be a sudden, wholesale change overnight. One of these categories is the practice of your faith. (Notice I do not use the word "religion" here as Christianity is the faith without religion.)

Encouragement in these discouraging times can be found! Check out Colossians 3:22 -25 (ESV)

22 Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. 25 For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.

So you see, as slaves you will not lose your spiritual inheritance; in fact as a slave you are serving the Lord Christ!!!! God has all the bases covered! There is no need to be carried about with various emotions or be influenced by the FUD factor. You can be Bold, Certain, and Believing regardless of the fearful situations and circumstances which whip through the world and our country.

(I leave it to the scholars to argue and debate about the meaning of the greek word doulos and its application to the American citizen. Those who desire to remain fearful can stay fearful.)

    • You are welcome. Yes, praying and speaking are needed. I wrote this post for the sake of endurance and the elimination of fear. We are not required to produce a political change in the country (thank God), but we do need to endure as the world gets worse and worse.
